Attend this fun and informative Saturday workshop designed for writers who want to turn their creative ideas into a novel, memoir, short story, or magazine article. This event is to be held at the new Reeves Theater on the University of Tampa campus (on the second floor of the Vaughn Center).

Where:
On the legendary Gulf Coast of Florida, WordSmitten's Writing Workshop is held on the historic campus at the University of Tampa, on Kennedy Boulevard, in Tampa, Florida. On campus, visitors enjoy the often-photographed turrets of the former Flagler Hotel, now part of the Henry B. Plant Museum. Discover Victorian-era memorabilia and architecture. The campus is a spectacular backdrop for writers to tour before and after the workshop sessions.

:: Jane Friedman, editorial director of Writer's Digest Books. An outstanding speaker.
:: Bob Tarte, author ("Enslaved by Ducks" and "Fowl Weather") and creative producer of a fun podcast.
:: Alison M. Steele, whose law firm (Rahdert, Steele, Bole & Reynolds, P.A., established in 1978) specializes in Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Litigation, and Media Law, will discuss copyright law and intellectual property matters important to writers. Clients of the firm include the St. Petersburg Times.
:: Kate Sullivan, publisher of the literary magazine WSQJ (WordSmitten Quarterly Journal) and executive editor of www.wordsmitten.com, speaker, instructor, and a former newspaper columnist. Kate hosts WordSmitten's "About the Books" appearing on NPR (WFSU-FM 88.9), WTIS-AM, WRBH-FM, and WOCA-AM, featuring exclusive interviews with authors, editors, and publishing executives. Recent interviews include authors David Leavitt (The Indian Clerk), Elizabeth Gaffney (Metropolis), Janet Burroway (Writing Fiction), and Joseph Skibell (A Blessing on the Moon).
