Dip your pen into our Writing Tips

GULFPORT, JULY 24, 2003 – Small Adventures Bookshop will open the doors to its Writing Salon on August 9, 2003, for a writing seminar.

Writers who have completed a manuscript and are ready to send their work to a literary agent are invited to attend a two-hour workshop on Saturday, August 9. The workshop, to be held from 9 AM to 11 AM, will describe professional techniques for writing a one-page literary query letter.

Writers need to have completed a work of fiction, narrative nonfiction, or educational (textbook) nonfiction and to identify an agent/book publisher to whom they wish to send their manuscript.

An in-store copy of Jeff Herman’s book will be available for workshop participants to use for this. The fee for this workshop is $29.00 and advance registration is required. Registration includes: the cost of the workshop and a copy of 16-page handout, The Ultimate Query Letter Workbook, provided by Word Smitten e-book publishers.

Sign up for the workshop at Small Adventures Bookshop, 3107 Beach Boulevard South, Gulfport, Florida, 33707. Call or visit Jan Dutton, the Book Lady, by August 5, 2003. For more details call (727) 347-8732.
